AN IDEAL SETTING FOR HEALING

According to local legend, the clear, dry air of the Sonoran Desert has healing powers. What we know for sure is that healing happens here. Every day, Willow House at The Meadows is helping women recover, heal, and maintain wellness.

The first thing patients will notice when they arrive on campus is the serene, natural setting of our location. With a peaceful courtyard, water feature, labyrinth for meditation, and comfortable outdoor seating areas, our campus creates an atmosphere that is conducive to contemplative work and self-examination.

There is nothing clinical about our accommodations. Women are housed primarily in double rooms in a homey setting with a shared lounge and kitchen. This calm and nurturing environment also facilitates peer bonding and teaches individuals how to practice intimacy in a healthy way, which can be an invaluable source of support during the treatment process.

Quaintness Meets Convenience In Wickenburg

The western community of Wickenburg hearkens back to a different time and place. This former gold mining town rests on the northern edge of the Sonoran Desert, just below Arizona’s mountainous country and an hour from downtown Phoenix. Abounding in natural beauty, the state’s Dude Ranch capital continues to draw visitors to its quaint downtown and slower pace. Many of our patients express that the peacefulness of the Willow House campus reinforces their mindset for recovery.

Heal, Revive, and Thrive

In a safe and nurturing community composed of their peers, women are guided on their journey of recovery by examining the underlying causes of addiction and co-occurring disorders. The goal is for these individuals to gain the courage to face difficult issues, including grief and loss; heal from emotional trauma; and become accountable for their own feelings, behaviors, and recovery.
